The Best Movies of Summer 2017 Roundup

Posted 07/20/2017 5209

We are already in the middle of the month of July - and the Summer blockbusters keep on coming! From all the glorious reboots such as "Planet of the Apes" and "The Mummy" to your favorite comic movie sequels and debuts, "Wonder Woman", "Spiderman: Homecoming", and "Guardians of the Galaxy" - this is soon to be a record-breaking season for the box office!

We have already witnessed some amazing numbers for the releases of such films that have garnered killer reviews and ratings by critics and audiences, but we decided to give you the roundup of the best movies of summer 2017:

Guardians of the Galaxy 2:

Guardians of the Galaxy brings back your favorite characters of the marvel comic series. It's storyline is engaging and doesn't miss a heartbeat. It is as heart-warming, funny, sad at times, and suspenseful as you would expect. If you were a fan of the first, you will not want to miss this one - as we think it is even better than the first Guardians of the Galaxy.

Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tales:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is allegedly the last film of the Disney "Pirates" franchise - so they say. It received mixed reviews and ratings from critics and audiences - however the numbers tell a different tale. Most people loved the movie and say that it was better than the past few sequels and almost as good as the first. If you wanted the perfect "ending" to these movies, you will not be disappointed.

Wonder Woman:

Wonder Woman was one of the most anticipated movies of the season and it did not fail to exceed our expectations! When Gal Gadot was introduced as Wonder Woman in "Batman vs. Superman" we had no clue how she would own the character. But after the hype of the trailers and once viewing the movie, critics and audiences can agree that "Wonder Woman" could just be one of DC's best movies, yet.

Spiderman: Homecoming

Everyone thought that Spiderman: Homecoming would be a huge disappointment, especially with poor acceptance of Tom Holland playing the role of spidey. However, to the chagrin of critics - Spiderman: Homecoming reaped over $100 Million upon opening. It not only met the projection of earnings, it exceeded it - and for good reason. This Spiderman reboot is done right, and if you do not believe us, go see it for yourself. It will blow your mind, it is that good! If the caliber of these movies is any tell-tale sign to the type of movies that we will be seeing for the rest of the summer season, then bring it on. 2017 has been an awesome year for movies and the hits keep coming- so keep your eye on the ball so you do not miss out on what could be one of the best films of this year, yet!
